About This Tour
Uganda is home to more than half of the world's surviving mountain gorilla population — roughly 460 individuals living in the misty highland forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Coming face-to-face with a silverback in his natural habitat is widely regarded as one of the most profound wildlife encounters available anywhere on Earth. Our 10-day itinerary pairs this bucket-list experience with the diverse ecosystems of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where lions lounge in fig trees, elephant herds roam the savannah, and the Kazinga Channel teems with the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. Between the two parks, a scenic drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley reveals crater lakes, tea plantations, and equatorial landscapes of extraordinary beauty. Expert Ugandan guides, hand-picked lodges, and small group sizes ensure an intimate and deeply personal safari experience in the Pearl of Africa.
