About This Tour
Kibale Forest National Park holds the highest density of chimpanzees in East Africa — over 1,500 individuals, including several habituated communities that have been studied and observed for decades. This 5-day dedicated chimpanzee safari is designed for travellers who want to spend real time with our closest relatives: not just the standard one-hour tracking permit, but the option to upgrade to the Chimp Habituation Experience (full day with a habituating group) and multiple forest sessions to observe different aspects of chimp behaviour. The park also hosts 12 other primate species, 375 bird species, and the full range of Albertine Rift endemic species. The western Uganda setting — rolling hills, tea estates, crater lakes, and the great Rwenzori Mountains as backdrop — makes this one of Africa's most scenic safari settings.
